Essay Topics on the Rwandan Genocide

Essay Topics on the Rwandan GenocideSome question what should be on an essay topic about the Rwandan Genocide. A good question is whether the Holocaust and the Rwanda Genocide are two different events or one in the same. In this article I would like to elaborate on the difference between these two events. What I believe is that the events in the Holocaust are similar in that there was a deliberate killing of millions of innocent people in the gas chambers. On the other hand, what I would call the Rwanda Genocide was, as I said, a deliberate killing of hundreds of thousands of civilians in the Tutsi's non-urban population areas. Both these events happened over a period of time. Now I have nothing against the idea of writing about both the Holocaust and the Rwanda Genocide. To understand why they are not the same let me make this distinction: the Holocaust is only for those white folks who survived. The Rwanda Genocide is for all Tutsi's non-urban population areas. Both sides are evil; b oth sides are to blame for the event in the end. These points are why I believe you should think about essay topics about the Rwandan Genocide and not the Holocaust. I want to go into some other issues on this topic.First, I believe the Holocaust is the one of the most heinous genocides that have ever occurred in the modern era. We cannot forget the death camps and the murders that took place. It is hard to accept this, but some would say the only difference between the two events is the circumstances. There is no denying the atrocities that took place in Nazi Germany and it cannot be denied that some Nazi's were more vile and evil than others. Some of these genocides are still going on in history books, and many people do not even realize this. The one big difference between the Holocaust and the Rwandan Genocide is the names. We can call the Rwandan Genocide the Holocaust will stand as a despicable event, but the name of the event should not be used to reduce the gravity of the enti re situation. In conclusion, it seems to me that we should be careful what we include in essay topics on these two events. They are not one in the same, and that should be a consideration when writing your essay. Remember, all tragedies have a cause, and the Rwandan Genocide is one that could have been prevented.
